RAPID CITY, S.D. - The Red Angus, Gelbvieh and Shorthorn breeds were center stage Thursday at the Black Hills Stock Show.

In the Red Angus sale, the top selling bull sold for $10,000. The winning bull was consigned by Weber Land and Cattle Company, and was purchased by Jensen Ranches out of Whitewood.

The top selling Red Angus heifer was WRTG SCARLET, consigned by Gage Weller. She sold for $4,750.

At the Gelbvieh sale, the top selling bull was BCV XCALIBER 056X, consigned by BCV Gelbvieh. The bull sold for $5,750. EGL NARNIA Y062 ET, consigned by Eagle Pass Ranch, was the top selling heifer at $9,500 and MISS SIN CITY 024X, consigned by Cerroll Gelbvieh, was the top selling bred heifer. She fetched $5,500.

At the Shorthorn sale, the top selling bull sold for $5,000. WR CR LEGEND was consgined by Warner Ranch. The top selling heifer was MCC ULTRA WHITE, and sold for $3,800. The top selling bred heifer was GAL MISS HONI, and she sold for $2,400. Mills and Cambell consigned the heifer and Galbreath Farms consigned the bred heifer.

As for totals, the Red Angus sale fetched $131,750 for the bulls. The Gelbvieh bulls sold for a total of $18,900 and the Shorthorn's sold for a total $25,000.

Among the heifers, the Shorthorn heifers fetched a total of $12,600, while the bred heifers and heifers for the Gelbvieh brought in $28,850.
